Chris is a Yirandhali and Koa man. He founded Blackpath in 2026.

Before Blackpath, he spent more than fifteen years across Rio Tinto, BHP, Fortescue and CS Energy in senior roles spanning major capital development, studies, portfolio governance, operational readiness, heritage, closure and Traditional Owner partnerships. At Rio Tinto, he led and governed major iron ore developments and portfolios across the Pilbara from early studies through investment and execution. Following Juukan Gorge, he designed the co-management framework with Yinhawangka Traditional Owners and led new approaches to project development and Traditional Owner partnership. He also co-developed and co-chaired Rio Tinto’s Elevating Indigenous Voices Committee.

He holds an Executive MBA from UNSW AGSM and completed Leading Sustainable Corporations at Oxford Saïd Business School.
